Position the drilling vise on center under the drill bit and clamp the vise soundly to the table. The jaws of the vise ride on 2 rods and are opened or closed by turning a knob. The self-centering jaws will clamp square or round stock up to a 1" square (1-1/4" round). Simply rotate the adjusting knob to open the jaws, insert the pen blank, close the jaws and drill the hole.
